You are either an American or Trump supporter.

As both an American and a registered Republican (for now), I have hated Trump since before he entered politics. It is not too late to impeach and permanently disqualify him, while the smell of tear gas still lingers in the halls of Congress.

Well said, Pab. This president is a disgrace and anyone supporting him is responsible for what happened today. Your chickens have come home to roost. Let’s hope we can salvage our democracy out of this bullshit.

Don’t impeach him in these last 2 weeks, or kick him out due to the 25th Amendment! If he makes it to the end, there’s only a dubious chance he can pardon himself, but if he quits or is kicked out, then President Pence can pardon him, fer shure!

The repugnant republicans had the chance to remove the Rump. Only one stood up against him. By their inactions of restraining him, the repugnant republicans are as much responsible for his actions and the resulting violence that has occurred.

I didn’t vote for Trump, (either time) but I did vote Republican for most of the ticket. I am a fiscal conservative, but I do believe most of our social programs are necessary. I absolutely believe in a strong military, and that we must maintain our treaties. We cannot allow China or Iran to close our trade routes or attack our allies. I could go on, but this is long enough already.

After the 20th, throw the bum out.

? MAGA and Trump are Republicans trying to block the confirmation of a duly ‘elected by a landslide’ Biden. I’m no big fan of Biden. MAGA had just been a royal PIB (apologies, not aimed at Her Royal Majesty) until yesterday. Trump has been running from lawsuits (which will now catch up to him). The Republicans themselves for the most part have been distancing themselves from the National Embarrassment. What all the political parties in America need to do is take a good, hard look at their attitudes, images and how they are helping to make America truly great again (MATGA?) And us Americans need to pay more attention to who the heck we’re electing into office.

I do appreciate your public support of America. It is truly appreciated by little old citizen me.

Today in the halls of congress and elsewhere some Republicans did their duty while others did not. Some stood up and did their job. I do not recall one who said that they regretted and were ashamed of being associated with the seditionist. Some came close (and I do appreciate their efforts) but there is no one in the Republican Party who should not resign over this and a few who should be impeached.

Don’t forget the riots at the Portland Federal Courthouse is still going on. The National Guard was brought in and the pushback from that was through the roof.

The “Defund the Police” movement and the higher murder rates that ensued by DA’s that play catch and release of the criminals. This has been building up for a long time and now you are “worried”?

You know, I read the comics to escape all this crap. I don’t want to be highjacked by a cartoon that is supposed to be funny. If I wanted commentary, I’d read the editorial/political cartoons.

Any Republican — any American — who never spoke out against Trump in his 4 years of maladministration is complicit in yesterday’s insurrection.

Frankly, I think that ANYONE announcing they’re running for the Presidency of the United States should have to go thru a Physical and Mental Health examination first, just in the chance we might weed more Donald Trumps out before they can cause harm.

There are decent people who label themselves Republican. They can show their decency by how they deal with the ones who practiced sedition and sanctioned the insurrection.

You might want to trim your brush there, buster: irony meters are redlining and about to explode.
