I haven’t spoken to a telemarketer for years thanks to call display. If I don’t recognize the number I just let it go to voice mail, and telemarketers rarely ever leave a message.
There was a GREAT (old) MCI commercial featuring many of the original Star Trek cast,plus Jonathan Frakes,who,incidentally is directing an upcoming episode of “Castle”. Look for the commercial on YouTube.

I remember those days of switching around to different phone companies to get the best price. Now we’re locked into cell plans for years… :-(
