Y2K, the winter of our disconnect.

A big thank you to all the techs & coders who worked long days (& nights) to make the Y2k scare a big nothing for the rest of us.

I recall when this strip ran realtime in the lead up to Dec 31, 1999. Can’t recall though what Michael ran on Jan 1, though.

Those 1st generation iMacs are now techie collectors items owing to their original styling, especially some of the rarer colors.

In the US and tech support at the time – had to stay at work on New Years Eve even though other parts of the world had passed midnight with no issues proving it was a “non-issue”.

Ah, the good old days, when programmers were still appreciated.
