You know, they got snow this year, in the desert in CA? Near Palm Springs, my grandkids built snowgoons.

New Orleans: Build a snowman and watch it melt by the afternoon.

We did that this past December. We had a few inches of snow, then it started to sleet, then rain, by the next morning we had a little lump of ice where the 3ft snowman was.

In NC, they closed schools because it was “supposed to snow”. No wonder the South lost the Civil War!

When we moved from Colorado to Virginia, were were incredulous when the schools were closed for two weeks after they got two INCHES of snow! I have to laugh every time I hear a weather report from Virginia and the ‘newscasters’ are reporting that it was “bitterly cold” and that it was 37 degrees!

In Colorado, we consider anything above 32 degrees in the winter time the same as a heat wave. If stuff is melting - it is NOT “bitterly cold” in my estimation!

Eventually, of course, we returned to Colorado - and ended up with a 13 foot snow drift in our back yard a couple of years ago!

But, this year HAS been an odd year. I understand that snow even fell in paces like Hawaii! VERY unusual!
