Back in the ’80’s, we got 2 English Springer Spaniels from the same litter. Tell them both to sit and “STAY”, and the male planted himself like a concrete statue. The female would start doing this little toesy kind of creep toward me, and even though she lived to 13, she never decided to really stay when told. She had many other redeeming qualities, however.

My shepherd mix would grab her towel from the door knob and wait to be dried off.I miss that dog.
