    It’s sad when you have theiving neighbors. Seems they’re lazy as well. They don’t want to cut their own wood. On top of all that, they don’t want to pay for it and didn’t ask the owner. SMH

    Comes from knowing you live in a gun free zone. Thieving is rampant, especially from the “honest folks”.

    Not a problem here. Just now got done unloading about 3 ricks of wood my neighbor gave me from trees they were taking out of his mother’s yard. All I had to do was haul it, they had even split it. Wood heat is the only heat we have in the house. This wood might not be high quality, but it will burn (when it dries out) and the price was right. And I appreciate it.

    When I was heating with wood, I discovered it heated more than twice.Cut it downCut it up (4’ lengths)Haul it out of the wood lotLoad it on the truckCut it into stove lengths, split it and stack itthen bring it in and burn it.

    Around here, it was not so long ago that folks locked the front door to let the neighbors know they were gone—but left the back door unlocked just in case someone needed to get in. And it wasn’t often abused.

    Now people are more afraid. Sad.
