Nearly 30 years ago, our yellow Lab mixes, Benji and Jay, would get out of the yard at 5am and walk my father to his subway stop, which was about 2 blocks away! When the reached the subway, my father would tell them thank you, now go home! And they did! They crossed two busy streets and slipped back into the yard while I was still asleep! In fact, I had no idea they were doing this for over a year!
