Hello dear Koko, a German proverb says: “Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten.” Have found a translation which – I hope – means the same “Cobbler, stick to your trade.” There would not be that big fun to chase a squirrel for you being a bird.
If I had wings no one would ask me should I flyThe bird sings, no one asks why.I can see in myself wings as I feel themIf you see something else, keep your thoughts to yourself,I’ll fly free then.Peter, Paul and Mary, 1962.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLE67ZIYYaU
I love the dream of Koko being a bird – and I love his facial expression of thinking about it – it is so often my dream being someone knowing it is better for me to be what I am.
Thank you again to Mr. Adrian Raeside to tell us the stories and thoughts and suggestions of his real dogs – Koko and Sakura!

And then, there’ all that flying south for winter stuff, and being chased by cats.

And don’t forget flying into large glass windows! That’s gotta hurt.

Psst! Mr. Raeside – between you and me and the gate-post: Your drawing of Koko with wings is great. Koko looks so smart with wings!

Okay, I’ve heard of bird dogs, but this is ridiculous…and I like it!

Not all birds eat seeds. I’ve never seen an eagle or condor at our feeder!
