One majestic tree cut down is a tragedy. The mass of trees cut down or simply burned by humanity worldwide is part of the ecological disaster which will haunt us and our descendants for millennia.
I have the faint hope, that there will be a rebounce of nature when the CO2 and Methane in the atmosphere will come into full effect the coming 100 years. It will become so unbearable hot around the equator that even healthy people will die without active cooling. So it will be left alone as soon as our society breaks down and the global economy and its technology ceases.
As a kid I wanted to get up close to glaciers at Glacier National Park. I forgot about it until just a few years ago. You can’t get close to them now, most are GONE and the rest have receded far from the trails and become too unstable to allow access.

Hopefully the tree just died. And had to be cut down. And not some over zealous lumberjack cut it down.

The should have gotten there before the SCROTUS neutered the EPA.

Big Tree Park was Home to the Senator, tallest cypress around in Florida, until some crack-head set fire to it.

Why have a “visit” sign right there?
