Story I heard from a pastor: As he was waiting to check in his bags, he saw that the passenger ahead of him was giving the ticket agent a really hard time. The agent was doing a good job of keeping his cool. When it was the pastor’s turn, he said to the agent, “I’m sorry to see you have to put up with difficult people like that. I think you handled it very well.”
The agent said: “Oh, that’s alright, some people just don’t know what they think they know. For instance, that gentleman doesn’t know that although he is flying to Florida, his luggage is heading to Hawaii.”
Airlines are one of the most subsidized businesses in the US. You pay for no legroom and lost luggage, not just with your ticket price, but with the taxes that pay for airports, security, air traffic control and TSA.
At the flight check-in the passenger said,“…and send the brown bag to Baltimore and the black suitcase to Chicago.”Clerk replied, " Sir, we can’t/don’t do that! You’re flying to Spokane."Passenger replied, “The heck you can’t, you did it last Thursday!”

I think I saw his luggage last night attached to the end of Elon Musk’s Starlink when it went over. (It was a pretty awesome sight)
