    I lost it at “It”. The movie scared me so much as a child. Don’t know if the book would have been as scary.

    The creatures in Dr. Seuss and H.P. Lovecraft are pretty similar, so the books are just as good for small children, right?

    Spelling nitpick. While he does sometimes go by “Uncle Steve”, when using his full first name it’s “Stephen” instead. And I too loved the “It” joke. One of my first adult books I read as a kid was his Christine novel.
