Does the public really have the right to know everything that their government is doing? It seems to me it depends on who is in power and whose side you are on. Recently, Republicans wanted everything about the Obama nefarious government’s actions exposed to public scrutiny but are working like hell to obfuscate Trump’s embarrassing but legal machinations. Conversely, the Democrats attempted to block Wikileaks and others from exposing information considered important to national security under Obama, while trying to expose traitorous and criminal activities of Trump.
In both cases, it is a matter of political perspective and partisan phraseology.
This reminds me of a song about coding. A trio (I believe) did it. It’s kind of reminiscent of “Sixteen Tons”. I’ve been going crazy trying to remember the title, but all I can think of is the tune and a few random lyrics.
