I would MUCH rather have my father than the money he left. He and I were closer in the two or three years before he died than we had been all my life. It was wonderful. I miss him so much.
NEVER count on an inheritance. They could get an expensive and debilitating disease and the hospital / nursing home gets it all.OR, they could spend it all on an endless road-trip to all 50 states in an RV.OR, they could just out-live you.
