Probably kidnapped Pet Rocks.

Some of the pet rocks got loose and became feral. Those are the ones that crawl under your sleeping bag and snuggle into your back while you are camping.

ok i know it corny, and i don’t carrot all, but, peas try to turnip the parsnippity comments and lettuce quit beeting this to death.

They already have. Rice has a more complex dna than humans. Rice developed humans to plant, harvest, and have rice festivals to worship it. Rice rewards its servants with food, beer and sake.
