The credit card holder makes the rules.

My Dads rule was to buy the biggest tree he could find. Every year my Mom would say “ Get a nice little tree we could put on a table”. Every year 8 or 9 feet tall and he would have to cut the base almost off to get it to fit.

My Mom would hang tinsel on one strand at a time and we weren’t allowed to touch it!

The trees are like Sterling; they’re fir-al..

I got one of those inflatables for my front porch. It’s a tree shape with built in illumination.

Rule Number One: Don’t speak unless spoken to by Dad.

White pine or blue spruce are nice yard decoration trees but don’t produce summer house shade like maple or oak.

Where I live, cutting down your own Christmas tree from out in the forest, is illegal.

Just Scream “Mutiny” and run away.

I just love Sterling. He’s out of his mind. It’s hysterical.

Love this strip. There’s something to smile or chuckle about in all four panels. Dad’s defeatist posture in the last panel is amazing. Way to keep it fun, Mom!

I don’t know how it happened, but apparently Wallace’s father and my husband are kin to each other.

Haven’t gone after a tree is so many years. My mom had a realistic plastic tree in 3-parts with paces for the lights. I don’t have such a thing on my own.
