If you have live there are 2 options. One is to use a medicated shampoo and the other is to shave your head. I’m not sure which is the scarier option for the boys (Spud doesn’t have that much to shave).
It was so embarrassing when my mother was holding one of my boys in her lap and noticed he had contracted lice. It was doubly embarrassing with both my sister and her husband sitting there visiting. I could have fallen through the floor. I quickly got that special shampoo and took care of the situation but I had his beautiful hair cut off to a buzz. The lice never came back. He was in elementary school at the time.
Contrary to popular belief, lice are actually MORE likely to infect clean heads than dirty ones (they have standards too, apparently). So basically, you are absolutely NOT off the hook here, Amelia. ;)
On its own, tea tree oil was the most effective treatment tested. Tea tree oil and peppermint appeared to be most useful for repelling lice. Tea tree oil and lavender were also found to prevent some feeding by lice on treated skin.

Amelia has clean lice. That’s important when you get inspected. Dirty lice are dirty liars.

It doesn’t really matter how clean you are, if someone else has them and you catch them, it’s just as gross and annoying.

The seagull must have run outside with the kids for recess. Or, it may have taken up residence in the elevated playhouse.

Pretty sure it won’t take too long to check Spud’s head – he has slightly more hair than Charlie Brown!

Are lice worse than crabs? I’m asking for a friend.

I don’t remember any lice incidents in school. My kids got them once in the summer time.

So things are about to get lousy?

I’m pretty sure Spud won’t have to worry about his social standing either way.
