Back when I was a kid my dad would take us camping and at nighttime my brother would howl like a wolf to the moon. One night he got a response howl, and that was the night I slept in the car.

Wallace: “… Sterling. And, you’re right. You should see the drool.”

    Sterling: “I’m best at drooling!”

That’s not a bad owl call. Birders use a mnemonic “WHO cooks FOR YOUUUU?”, and Wallace is using the same cadence.

We live in a neighborhood that’s old enough that the owls have plenty of mature trees to live in. We love to hear them, the cats… not so much!

Fun fact, although the female owl is 1/3 larger than the male, when they sing their courtship duets, his is the lower “voice”.

That owl call is a perfect rendition of a horned owl, with the first Whooo louder and the fourth whooooo trailing off. Makes me nostalgic.

I love the artwork! Especially how the Sterling home is on stilts even though it is apparently at the top of a steep hill!

How about a seagull call, Wallace? Oh wait, they show up without being called.

Lilith was the first wife for Adama but was too assertive so she left and next time around Eve was made from Adam so she would be subservient. Now Lilith was spoken of as cavorting with demons and later became one herself. A vampire who controlled the night animals. Jackal, scorpion and owls.
