I’m surprised they filled an entire book of that size on explicitly that subject. Not to say it wouldn’t still be fascinating for some to read (I’d probably enjoy it) I just didn’t think there’d be enough material to fill a novel with.
Now, if it discussed the rest of New England life before power and running water too…
