For some reason I just thought of the radioactive snake exploding through the terlet in Hard Ticket to Hawaii.

Did you realize when you sit on a toilet, you’re connecting your butt to a citywide network of butts?

Spud may never poop again.

Octopuses, octopi, and octopodes are all acceptable plurals of octopus.

Toilet paper (panel 2 far right) is hung correctly. Further evidence of Mr. henry’s attention to detail.

Toilet snakes are a real thing

Wait – there are really such creatures as toilet snakes? Now where am going to… you know…

Will Henry’s attention to detail goes without saying, but with the wild tangle of appendages in panel two, there are precisely 8.

And then there’s the story in the New York Times about bats living in slit toilets!

Actually… octopodes. It’s a word of Greek origin. Octopuses has become common, yes, but so has using “literally” to mean “not necessarily literally.”

Octopodes it is, for me.

The area where they are hanging out appears to have a texture similar to octopus suckers.

Octopi and octopuses are both correct.

Rose is right. I too thought that octopi was the correct plural (at least in English).
