Wallace does a face plant. It’s okay, your parents will embarrass you often, sometimes on purpose.

Gets into my cheddar?

So is Dad into acid jazz, or did he just pull up the weirdest name that came to mind?

Could have been worse. Dad could have chosen a really obscure reference.

It could mean he cheeses him off, but in this case “gets into my cheddar” is to be taken literally..

I like how Spud just embraces the name this time.

Dad got creative this time with Spud’s “name”.

I don’t know, Jamiroquai does sound classier than Spud. I’d go with it.

Like the look Wallace is giving Spud in panel three—it just screams “don’t encourage him!”

He remembers what’s important and that’s what counts…..

It’s Virtual Insanity that he doesn’t know Spuds first name.

In later years, as my father’s memory began to fade, he began calling kids at church and even his own descendants by the wrong name. They thought he was kidding them …and it helped him retain his dignity.

Seriously Mr. Dad?

My dad used to deliberately called some of my friends the wrong name because he thought it was funny. Sometimes my friends did too.

Love Jamiroquai. Will Henry has just set the bar even higher…

What is Dad doing? My first guess is he’s repairing nets, but does he use nets for lobstering? And I would expect a net-repairing tool to be smoother. Is he crimping something? I see the tool is on a … cord? Or is that string? Don’t see any moving parts. Looks a little wrench-y, a little electric.

Is he dancing walking and rearranging furniture?

I would’ve called him Sting, MacLellan dad (because of the striped shirt). :D

Sounds like something Shawn would call Gus on Psych.
