Had a Rose in Trig class. Teacher graded on the curve. She aced the tests. She was not very popular in that class.

Childhood moments like this feel so far away, especially when my childhood was devoid or free from friends asking me (or me asking them) if other kids liked me. I wonder if other foreign-born readers can relate.
