There was a famous episode of One Foot In The Grave which was like this. Victor Meldrew ended up buried up to his neck in his own garden and he also had his head hidden by a bucket.

If Wallace could see what we’re seeing, he would know that both Spud and Seagull are snoring.

A few weeks back they had to rescue some kid that made a tunnel on the beach. Also Mythbusters proved you can’t breath if buried in sand up to your neck.

This is not funny for people who are claustrophobic.

Foxtrot had one with a similar premise. Jason had Peter put the bucket over his head for ‘the greatest practical joke ever’ on Paige. Of course, Peter just left him. The final thought-bubble coming from Jason (under the bucket) is something like ‘Okay, second-greatest.’
