I played “chess” with a 2 year old. Neither of us followed any rules, laughed a lot. Then we played “Jenga Chess.” I would make a tower of the chess pieces and the child would attack the tower with a pawn. Giggling ensued. Lots of giggling. I considered that 2 chess wins for me. My record is, 8 111 0.
What does it say about me that I mistook that black shelf above Andy’s laptop for the business end of a gun? Probably that I need to get some sleep. Yeah.

My inner child likes grilled cheese and tomato soup, and puppies. Can you write about that?

That don’t seem like a good strategy to me. My inner child certainly don’t want to write.
