    Actually we had a 500 style phone in 1952 in Minneapolis. I think they were very new then.

    Thanks. I knew that telephone in that tv show was not of that time period. I will continue my research, but this is good news.

    The earliest phones had a battery inside. All the latest ones, do, too. We’ve come full circle.

    You know, the ‘83 model wasn’t exactly common. Even in the ’90s, most phones had cords.
