My ancestors were white and they came to America as slaves. And yes, Africans did the enslaving then sold slaves to Europeans.
In fact it was the Muslim African tribe “Bantu” (800AD-1800AD), which enslaved Africans and sold them to Christian Europeans. They lived in Central and Eastern Africa and would capture tribes that did not have access to horses.
