I’m new to NC. Many people down here throw the tree out of the house the day after Christmas. I don’t get it. What happened to the 12 days of Christmas? I don’t like the big build up and then..bang! You pull the plug.
Kiama! a very lovely spot on the earth,I drove through there twice a week every week for years when stationed at a Navy base in Nowra…well done Quill JP
We do “One for the Chipper” here. Trees go in the chipper for mulch, which is used for city landscaping, or folks can buy it for their yards at a reduced price. Keeps them out of the landfill.

It is sad, isn’t it? That’s why I keep my tree and decorations up until the insurance company tries cancelling my fire policy.
