Here’s an easy way to remember how many days are in each month.
Make a fist with both hands, and hold them together side by side in front of you. Now start counting the months of the year, with January on the knuckle of the little finger of your left hand, February between knuckles, March on the knuckle of the ring finger of your left hand, and so on. July will be on the last knuckle of your left hand, and then you move to the first knuckle on your right hand, without a space in between, and keep going. December should end up being on the knuckle of the ring finger of your right hand. All of the months that ended up being on your knuckles have 31 days. All of the months that ended up between knuckles have 30 days, with the exception of February. That’s the only month you have to remember.
And that’s just the beginning. You have a whole calendar on your hands. For example if you know what weekday the eve of the year (the last day of the previous year) was, then you can figure out the weekday of any date of the year, just by counting on your fingers. On one finger, in fact.
