    Actually, the sad thing is that he’s not that far off the mark (for what I get paid at my job, it might as well be volunteer work!)

    Much as I hate agreeing with the King, he’s right about one thing. The ethical philosophy of altruism, the doctrine that our moral duty is to serve others, is intended to make everyone a slave to everyone.

    America was founded implicitly on the opposite premise: what matters is YOUR life, YOUR liberty, and the pursuit of YOUR happiness, not someone else’s.

    America was the first and only country founded on egoistic individualism, while many others were founded on collectivistic altruism: Soviet Russia, Red China, Nazi Germany, to name three of the bloodiest.

    I’d like to add more, but I’m not getting paid for this.

    The only real difference between vonunteer/low paid work and slavery, is that the slaves have job security!
