Ah, yes. I knew we’d havee one show up somewhere. The guy whocan manage to find something to bitch about if you say “hello” to him. As a vet, and the father of a KIA may I say, " GET A LIFE! "
I completely agree with the comments honoring this strip. Just look to WWII as a good example of service. If it weren’t for the US, Great Britain and the former Soviet Union (as much as some people may hate to admit it); it is very possible that we would have a Nazi Germany-controlled Europe and a Pacific Rim that would look very different.
The Wizard of Id and B.C. were both Parker and Hart creations. They always paid tribute when it was due…Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter…I always look forward to these two comics.
Are you referring to the Clinton vaporware “surplus”, of creative accounting the media would never have allowed Republicans to get away with? Or the Clinton Downturn, when he managed to turn the Internet Boom into a bust by making it clear he was going to tax the thunder out of the net businesses? Or perhaps you refer to the Iraq war, caused by Saddam’s constant attempts to shoot down American aircraft, as well as other violations of the cease-fire? Hint: when you violate a cease-fire, fire resumes. That’s why you don’t do it- unless you are a Saddam-type. His attempts to psychwar the system by pretending to have WMD were only one factor- we did find his illegal nuclear weapons program and 700 tons of uranium…
Clinton, great? He of the blue dress? He had a choice: tell the truth and face the consequences, tell a lie and face the consequences, or refuse to answer and face the consequences. He chose the only dishonorable option available. And “we have a surplus, except that we haven’t paid the bills” is not the fiscally responsible thing you blatant Democratic Socialists claim it is. We will never know whether his gutting of intel services would have kept 9/11 from happening, but it couldn’t have helped.
If only Carter had kicked butt in the Middle East instead of sitting on his hands for 444 days while the animals snickered… perhaps it would have spared us 9/11 and two wars. I feel that milksop Democrat let the Middle East slide until truly drastic measures had to be taken.

It is Memorial Day. A day of honoring our fallen soldiers. Many people also remember family members who have gone on.

Yeah. Built on the selfless blood of martyrs and brave casualties…so Wall Street and oil barons could put us in collectible debt in THEIR favor.
In memory of veterans and honest ancestors I say we take down Wall Street and ‘K’ Street…and soon.
