The speculation is that they somehow got “out of sync”, and were presenting the Sunday strip on a weekday, and so on 9/3 they’ll resume. Maybe, but it begs the question, how’d they even get “out of sync” (weeks had the same number of days back in ‘67 as they have now), and, what’s the diff? They didn’t particularly need to be sequential, so they could simply have skipped ONE and been back in sync with a Sunday, instead of missing SIX. I sent an eMail – got a stock reply that they were referring it to “the content delivery department”…Which supports the idea that they didn’t even KNOW they weren’t presenting them, much less have a clever plan underway…
It’s apparent to our audience that they know nothing of Parker and Hart’s deaths and ‘The Logo’ has gone forward. Although there’s several different writers and artists in the corporation, it’s readily apparent that ‘the tone’ of the strips has changed, due mostly to the ages of said writers and artists.. In their defense, I’d say that I couldn’t continuously quip about the 1920’s and sell it to the distributors than I could a can of peaches. I’m in my 80’s and no more relevant to “today’s age” than the presidency of Andrew Johnson was to my own mother and father.. (sigh)
If you mean “service” animals I agree. I get disgusted seeing dogs in restaurants (on chairs, at tables!) and in grocery stores because we have so many entitled people. It doesn’t help the people who really deserve them.

I wonder why the strips from 1967 dried up. I’ve been enjoying those.

Since this is a service animal we are obliged to allow him in, but be aware that this is a not smoking establishment
