Even crazier when you realize it’s not even the Autumnal Equinox yet, meaning it’s still technically summer. But I have seen snow as early as October and as late as April. Welcome to the American Midwest!
Here in Colorado I hope we have lots and lots of snow. The people down river need the water and we need it to keep from burning up like the states West of us. So let it snow any time.
I happen to be a life-long resident of the Southern Tier (my father even knew Johnny Hart), and I remember playing outside in September when I was little and it snowing (or at least flurrying). I even recall some local weatherman saying that the only three months it’s never snowed around here are June, July, and August — and my mother immediately insisting it once snowed on her birthday in June.

Not silly in Colorado, though this year it looks like we won’t get any this month.

“We’re not in summer (or fall) anymore.”
Sing “Some – time o – ver past leaf fall.”
Stand up, Click your heels together, and say, “There’s no time like summer. There’s no time like summer. …”

Welcome to Montana. Snuggle up with Henry, you’ll be okay. Unless you snore. Then he will cook you.
