    The Parsi (Zoroastrian) community used to hang their dead in sort of a dry well (Parsi Tower of Silence or “Dakhma” as what they call it) so that vultures would finish off their remains. These were their funeral rites called “Dokhmenashini”. I am not sure, but I believe they do not do this anymore.
