My old HR lady used to ask “Is this a problem the company can handle?” then when you talk to her she’d just say “I can see your problem but know this there is no easy solution for insert issue here” did not matter what the problem is it was a robotic response every time.

HR for fun and profits. Sue learn to write policies that will make Rita end up walking on her head and in double jeopardy for every move she makes. Start with a document on " Proper usage of technical wording" and Rita is going to be so lost. But may end up using our buddies as translators.

hr….ugh.another level of corporate bureaucracy. sometimes it’s a positive, like when hiring. other times, not so much. when firing, policies, etc…also, if your hr does payroll as well, complaints a plenty regarding pay, benefits, insurance programs. etc…that brunette hair will be gray, and bald. not to mention, an eating disorder and maybe a drinking problem.

Or, treat every complaint as genuine and important. Make a major issue of them. Bend or change rules. Maybe give yourself a raise and they will transfer you again.

With luck, the easily distracted Rita will forget that she made the switch, and Sue can just slip back to her old desk after couple of weeks.

I’m amazed that Rita was nice enough to not only keep sue on, but place her in a job she felt was easy. Doesn’t sound like the Rita we all know.

    Quickest way out of HR?

Pretend to be compassionate and give the employees what they ask for. Management (even Rita) would move her out of there in seconds!

Rita is smarter than she looks.

The position was eliminated. Depending upon the state, Sue is entitled to quit and receive unemployment at her current rate. If she stays in the new position for two weeks she’s accepted the new position and will have to file at the new lower rate.

Rita saves money for the company either way.

This country doesn’t care what workers want.
