Yes, this is the same basic gag as yesterday. Different year, different pair of characters. We like to revisit some setups.
When this one first ran Jay had no shadow. I did that on purpose, because Rita’s shadow was a Disney villain device, like a part of the costume, to make it more ominous. Yet it threw some readers who took it too literally. So now Jay has a shadow.
