We have an artificial tree. I like it. It is buried deep in our storage unit and the place we would normally set it up is so covered by junk, we can’t set it up. So I don’t have to worry about it – either setting it up or taking it down or whether it is too dry or …. So, one less Christmas stress. However, when we move, we ARE going to set it up for that Christmas (and maybe never take it down, thereby ALSO making one less Christmas stress for the future!).
I haven’t taken down my tree yet but to be fair, not all my christmas presents have arrived yet – they are held up in the mail and probably won’t arrive for another week. That is my logic and I am sticking to it ;). I do know others who leave them up all year round, just change the ornaments once in awhile to reflect the season…

Too dry ! I’m surprised it’s still standing.

In some situations, artificial trees are good.

Best solution is to own a cat, then you learn not to put up a tree at all.

My mother leaves it up year round, and decorates it differently for whatever major holiday is coming up next. Right now it’s a Valentine’s Tree.
