I actually own some oil stock (given as a gift many years ago). Every stockholder vote, I vote against 99% of the board’s recommendations. May not do much, but I figure they need at least someone to oppose their largely greedy and harmful policies.
By the way, I haven’t gotten rid of it largely because the giver is still alive and would be upset. When they die, I may reevaluate.
