Your problem is that rubber bands belong in a drawer. We use the cutlery drawer, rb’s on the left, twist ties on the right.
Remember, don’t swallow them!

Hide in the freezer because it doesn’t like the cold

Fortunately, they start to degrade in a couple of years. :) You’ll open a drawer full of little rubber pellets of various sizes.
Along with the pink goo from fast food.
