    Sorry, this is a bit dated! Cameras are falling out of favor: Half the parents now use their mobile phones to record the school play…

    Kinda like the one time my Dad saw the Queen – he filmed her passing by with his movie camera, so all he saw of her was through the tiny viewfinder. At least the viewing screen on modern cameras gives you a decent view of what you’re recording!

    Presumably, the people in the left wanted to film their kids’ play but couldn’t because they didn’t have the technology. So, they invented those digital cameras - it certainly wasn’t the people using them.

    I’m reminded of parents grousing about how much time their kids spend texting - only to remember that it was the parents’ generation that created the concept of texting on cell phones.
