What I consider strange is that, around here, all of the people who get really hyper about plastic bags at the grocery store are ALSO the people who ADVOCATE taking all of your old VHS tapes out to the landfill and dumping them there. Then, of course, there is that fact that the average trash removal company REQUIRES that all trash be placed in plastic bags. It appears to be perfectly fine to go into the grocery store and purchase a box of plastic bags to use to line your trash cans – it just is NOT OK to use free plastic bags from the grocery store to line your trash cans. ALL very CONFUSING!
