The neighbors have a giant nativity scene set up. I don’t mind it so much as I just like being a jerk. I want to get a FreeBSD old-school daemon logo made into a giant blowup lawn ornament.

Or maybe one of those inflatables that looks like the leg lamp from a christmas story.

Yes, you’re safe from all those Jews and Muslims and Buddhists and people who we know don’t fall under the category “Real Americans.” Oh, by the way, the Pilgrims and Puritans made it illegal to celebrate Christmas — I guess they weren’t “Real Americans” either.

Ref: Last panel – per SCOTUS rulings on this type of issue, religious decorations, e.g. manger scenes, are still not allowed on public school property.

However, individuals have always had the right to celebrate whatever holiday, and pray, as they wish.

“I mean even the Bible is pretty clear Christ wasn’t born in December.”-True. The Bible is also pretty clear that Christ didn’t die in April (or March), of which Easter is celebrated. Therefore, none of us are sure of what date, month, year, or season of his birth, death, and resurrection.

Actually, there is more evidence for Christ’s existence than there is for the existence of Socrates.

I’m positive that’s what prompted this arc. There’s a reason I call it Monkey County.

Uh, no. Actually there are historical references to Jesus. In particular, references in the histories of Tacitus and Josephus. Believe or not, that’s your business, but there is non-Biblical documentation.
