This is the problem with most tech companies that treat their employees as subcontractors: at the end of the day, they’re paying you less than minimum wage.

Driving taxi, I made the same in 60 hours per week as I would have at 40 hours of minimum wage.
Wow. I thought taxi drivers did better than that! Yeesh. I will tip better next time!
