It you want to spend quantity time with someone, both of you could spend your time “together” doing your own things on your cell phones.

I’ve even seen kids look at one phone together. Although, believe it or not, the DO still go outside to play — without phones. I’ve even seen some tree climbing recently.
When I was a kid, we would get together to read comic books.
