Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. SALE INDIVIDUAL BRICKS 50% Our deepest fear… …is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness… …that most frightens us. SHOPLIFTERS WILL BE PROSECUTED We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of god. LEGO Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking… …so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. EXAM BEEP BEEP We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of god that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. NURSE AND when we let our own light shine… …we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated form our own fear… …our presence automatically liberates others. - Marianne Williamson

Truly, these are words to live by. This author is right; we all are children of divine parentage.

One of the most basic concepts of the New Thought movement, much of which is based on Eastern thought, is: change our minds and our hearts and change the world. It’s pure truth. Our world reflects who we believe we are. Setting ourselves free sets everyone free. It’s the same Life in everyone.

It’s interesting to speculate how Eastern thought, that of India and China, as accepted by all cultures in its purest forms, would have changed the world. These days, Western thought and ambitions increasingly dominate. Note the increasing chaos as people conflict with The Way.

….and so, the child, seeing no consequences for his actions, continues in his unproductive ways, eventually becoming the burden on society that he is intended to be by his parent’s choices.Yes, he can create a dinosaur out of building blocks in an 8 hour shift. That’s marvelous, but it doesn’t forgive theft and it doesn’t forgive ditching his responsibilities. Will he be able to earn a living and support a family snapping blocks together? Or will working society end up supporting his family for him?I am unimpressed with the message that “eastern thought” or “new thought” brings us. They are only viable in a time of surplus and ease. As such, they are the province of the rich and idle. The poor are to busy fighting for a living to notice them.

True. But if we change our consciousness, our behavioral change happens naturally, or we haven’t truly changed our consciousness. It’s all good work; we’re all on the same path/“journey”, and there is no rush to get anywhere because we’re already there/here. What a joy when THAT light begins to dawn! Best wishes to you.

Kind&KinderAlthough warped by European thought whose religions have withered, the Abrahamic ones are nonetheless eastern religions, born in Asia.

KirkWhat 8-hour shift? I just got out of the University of Texas Southwestern medical school hospital, where I had a 3×4.5 cm tumor removed from my right kidney without leaving bits nor reducing function. Yet, in that bastion of cutting edge medicine, the nurses work 12 hours on and 12 hour off.

For those interested in comparative mythology and how it has affected religious perceptions toward the world and life, Google Joseph Campbell"s interviews with Bill Moyers. The DVDs are worth watching..http://billmoyers.com/content/ep-1-joseph-campbell-and-the-power-of-myth-the-hero%E2%80%99s-adventure-audio/

Speaking against the wind, I guess. I’ll try harder. At it’s most basic, the child is being rewarded for ill behavior.Furthermore, there seem to be many of you who find this admirable.I don’t, and wonder where the next generation will end up as a result of this specious behavior. Good luck to you and yours. Hopefully I will be long gone before a reckoning is required. I feel I am doing my part, and a little more, to stave off the inevitable.
