Had an apprentice once who constantly whined about being in the ditch with a shovel spreading and leveling crushed stone while I mostly sat on the backhoe pulling levers. Truth was that even though that was what I hired him for, I more often than not got off the machine and grabbed a shovel to lend a hand just to get the job done the way I needed it to be. Tired of his crying, one morning I presented him with a brand-new power tool- an electric shovel. Brand spanking new, and with the plug end of a broken extension cord taped to the handle. He didn’t appreciate the humor, but the story is true. It happened back in the ’70s.

Funny but, I was thinking that too. Where do you find a plug in the middle of a field. Where’s his drive way/sidewalk/house? Love the plug!

C’mon, give Ziggy a break – the instructions were probably printed in a foreign language and he didn’t know what they were.

That’s a great gag — might just have to do that to my own mailbox!

You know my cell phone is like that too. I only hear from some one when I turn it on. Most of the time its off. Love it that way!
