Every time I fill my birdfeeder I end up feeding the darn squirrels!

Have bought every ‘squirrel proof’ feeder known. I just got suckered by another but, to my amazement, it has not been cracked yet in 3 days. It seems too good to be true. The seed door shuts by the weight of the squirrel on the lid or perch. I see the little devils trying but,.. so far, no go. Ha!!!

Aren’t the squirrels supposed to be hibernating in the winter?

Squirrels only sit out bad weather, then they’re right back to the feeder.

After years of the same problem, we actually bought a squirrel-proof birdfeeder. It wasn’t cheap but it DOES work. The weight of the squirrel closes off the food. I promise you that it works—we looked for years and finally see the squirrels giving up. http://www.amazon.com/Brome-1024-Squirrel-Buster-Cardinal/dp/B0007LQ3RQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394387519&sr=8-1&keywords=squirrel+proof+bird+feeder

I hate to mention this, but birds are NOT mammals!
