The Hilton. But I wouldn’t have taken Ziggy for a towel thief.

At least I paid for my shot glass collection. Shame on Ziggy? Knowing him, though, he probably paid for the towels.

The reason the charge so much for hotels is because they expect you to take things like that.

Anyone remember Comfort Inn?

Why are you talking the towels Ziggy? They don’t belong to you.

I have one hotel towel, which I actually took by accident on a road trip and now I don’t remember which place it was from. (It doesn’t have a logo, just a nice white fluffy towel.)

That is why most places no longer put their name or logo on the towels.

Most hotels in my area have a list of prices for the items in the room and will put any missing ones on your credit card bill. $40 for a towel, $50 for a pillow, etc.

I now have a towel that my husband’s grandmother took. The hotel is no longer in business, so I guess it has “historical significance”.

The hand lotion is complimentary…

Thief! Citizens arrest!

A number of hotel chains have catalogs where you can order all sorts of things. IIRC, the Sheraton catalog offered the same type of bed they had, as well as the shower rod and curtain. Towels and robes were minor offerings in the catalog. Hyatt and Hilton are similar, last I checked.

I have a friend who’s an accountant for a hotel chain. He told me some people will steal anything, even if it’s bolted down. Pictures off the wall, television sets, beds, etc. Reminded me of when I was house hunting one time and decided to check out a house that looked great outside and seemed reasonably priced. The previous owner, who defaulted on his mortgage, had stripped the dry wall from all interior walls and even removed the furnace. Fixer-up indeed.

He could afford to stay at the Ritz..?

Don’t try that in a North Korean hotel, Zig!

I once went on a trip with a group of women who brought along an extra suitcase to put the stolen towels in. I managed to ditch them for the rest of the trip.
