It’s true, and it’s the reason why you don’t so much “good news” on TV.
TBS once tried to run an hour show called “Good News” which was a collection of “human interest” stories from around the US – it barely lasted a season.
If it bleeds, it leads.

I agree with the birdbrain. Most of what the so-called TV News shows label ‘human interest’ are not remotely interesting.
