Solitude and seclusion are two different things; solitude is aloneness; state of being alone or solitary, by oneself while seclusion is the act of secluding, shutting out or keeping apart.
sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for / how we achieve it. during this pandemic when talking with family and friends the topics of conversation are limited due to the lack of contact and time with people and places in the outside world.
Just thinking back, I don’t think that I’ve ever “heard” Zig complain. I am sure he never used the word “sucks”. We just see the house from the outside, maybe it was the Parrot.
As a solitary – from late childhood – it offers great freedom to do most anything – most liberating of all – reading – to travel, learn, investigate, make ‘connections’ between seemingly disconnected things, which further investigation reveals ARE connected, which can answer a lot of puzzling things … it’s all an adventure.

I live in solitude as well; it does get pretty boring at times.

I guess it’s a type of person thing. I’m not the least put out by being isolated.

Another term for solitude is solitary confinement, which is widely considered a form of torture.

Would Ziggy really say ‘sucks’?

Some choose loneliness, others have loneliness thrust upon them!

I love solitude! It’s the one thing I looked forward to at retirement. Peace and no drama!

You have to listen between the lines, but Paul Simon says the same thing – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKlSVNxLB-A
