I was prescribed Uloric for gout. I took it for a bit, then I saw the ad (with they guy carrying a giant green beaker.) The list of side effects was so long, I said ‘forget it!’ and stopped taking it, even though the ad said not to stop without talking to your doctor. a while later, I had an attack of gout. My doctor said “Aren’t you taking Uloric?” I told him, and he said “They have to say those things. The vast majority never get any side effects.” So he gave me a new prescription. About a year later, I got a call out of the blue, and they said “Doctor wants you to stop taking the Uloric. He’ll prescribe something else.” Turns out it was Black-listed by the FDA for instances of “Sudden Cardiac Death.” Of course I had just filled a 90-day supply for like $200!
Always play the percentages – if it’s better than 75/25 positive, take it. If not pass. It’s worked for me for years. hmmm or has it? can’t remember now. O(∩_∩)O ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

They’ve been allowed to hide the statistics up til now. I’m looking to see a true reckoning with some teeth in the punishment.

That seems to be a very long, tall tale you’re weaving Doc.
