No problem. We have a zen garden in the back and another Japanese style on the side with the catio, and local, natural ground cover in the front. And a few trees.
Even though our neighbor has a no mow policy, it’s been nearly two months my wife says I have to mow our lawn today or else. I’m not going to ask or else what ?
I like the idea of No Mow May – but in my area the municipality requires anyone who wants to participate to 1) register their property with the municipality 2) obtain a lawn sign 3) make sure the lawn sign is prominently displayed in said law.
All so they can continue to fine people for not keeping their lawns < 5 inches long, including any weeds or dandelion heads. You gotta mow every day if you have any dandelions in your lawn!
And if you are unlucky enough to live in an HOA, the HOA-nazis are eager to assess and deliver fines every day you violate that 5 inch limit.
If you have a son in his early teens, Why even bother with No Mow May. The lawn service is free plus you got to get kids off the couch and their Internet/Video Games these days and get some exercise… and responsibility….

No problem. Not much to mow when in a drought.

In MN, it creates an ideal environment for mice and snakes. Not next door to me, please!

I had to do that with a manual mower at that age. I don’t think anybody remembers them; they went the way of disc phones.
